​Welcome to my website! My name is Adi Donanhirsh. I am an art teacher, an artist and a mom of two teen girls. From a very young age I was inspired to create art by my grandfather, who was a talented craftsman, artist and engineer. So, I've been drawing, painting and sculpting practically all my life.
​
I earned my BA in Psychology and my MA in Expressive Art Therapies, and had the privilege of helping adults and youth with various mental health challenges. After becoming a mom and dedicating several years for parenthood, I decided to shift my focus to art education.
​
Since 2018 I've been teaching art in various settings, including preschools, elementary schools, senior homes, homeschool and community centers. I've been teaching also at "The Art Room" Art Studio in Lafayette, where I have the pleasure of orchestrating art-creation birthday parties.
The fun and satisfying experience of doing event entertainment motivated me to open YouCanDoArt and offer my services to a broader crowd. YCDA's concept is art-creation entertainment that comes to you. I come to any location in East Bay CA, and bring all the materials needed, including table-covers and aprons, for a mess-free activity.

I offer events for any age and any occasion! We build the event together according to your preferred theme, the type of activity you are interested in (see extensive list of activities on the Home Page), the age and the number of the participants, and any extras you might wish to add (like a face-painting session, souvenir aprons or tote-bags).
