Welcome to my website! My name is Adi Donanhirsh. I am an art teacher, an artist and a mom of two teen girls. From a very young age I was inspired to create art by my grandfather, who was a talented craftsman, artist and engineer. 

I have a BA in Psychology and a MA in Expressive Art Therapies. For several years I had the privilege of helping adults and youth with various mental health challenges.

Since 2018 I am teaching art at elementary schools, senior homes, homeschool setting and at "The Art Room" Art Studio in Lafayette, where I have the pleasure of doing event entertainment as well. ​​​

I feel grateful for the opportunity to share my love for art with my students. 

It brings me joy to see their enthusiasm as they create. 

I strive to make every class and event a success with a unique, fun and engaging activity, that all the participants will enjoy. 

I started YouCanDoArt with the concept of art creation entertainment that comes to you. I come to any location in the East Bay area, that is within my service area radius - SEE MAP BELOW. I bring all the materials needed, including table-covers and aprons, for a mess-free activity.

I tailor each class and event to the group's needs. We build the event together according to your chosen theme, the type of activity you are interested in (see extensive list of activities on the Home Page), the age and the number of the participants, and any extras you might wish to add (like a face-painting session, souvenir aprons or tote-bags, party-favors).
